1
What makes GS unique or different from other waterproofing products?
Greenseal products use the system of crystallisation to protect concrete by creating a crystalline structure deep with in
the pores reducing the capillarity of concrete and becoming permanent and reactive whenever water is present.
2
Does it have any effect on concrete?
Greenseal has no effect on the design properties of concrete but rather keeps the concrete completely dry and free
from defects like blistering or bubbling as it permits concrete to breath.
3
What are some of the applications of GS products?
Sewerage tanks, Ground water reservoirs, underground shafts, basements, lift pits, tunnels, retaining walls, foundations, fish
ponds, concrete slabs, water treatment structures, water tanks, balconies, swimming pools, planter boxes, wet areas (washrooms),
expansion joints.e.t.c
4
How long does GS last?
If GS liquid and cementitious products are stored in a dry place at room temperature, they have a pot life of 24 months.
If GS is used in concrete, it becomes permanent because when it is applied it it becomes part of the concrete matrix itself as it
loose particles of concrete lodge and form bigger particle hence reducing the capillarity of concrete.
5
Does it have any effect on reinforcement?
GS products have no effect on reinforcement as it will prevent intrusion of water, salt water, sewerage and most chemicals hence
protecting reinforcement from oxidation and deteriotation.
6
How deep does the GS penetrate in concrete?
It will penetrate up to 20mm deep to create a barrier that will prevent leakage and it can seal cracks up to 0.5mm width.
7
Which guarantee do I have if I use GS product for waterproofing?
If applied under our supervision and following the precautions, we provide a 1 year guarantee, as usually failure of
waterproofing will be observed within less than 1 year.
8
How does it work?
GS crystalline products will work in presence of water. Active organic and inorganic salts from supersaturated solvent will
increase in size leading to crystal growth. The loose particles form layers and lodge themselves into open inconsistences
such as pores and cracks hence reducing the capillarity of concrete yet allowing it to breath.
